If you would have told me that today I would wake up, sign our church up for five new forms of advertising with one-year contracts, kill a wolf spider the size the of my head in someone’s office, and buy a Harley, I would have told you it’s another day in the life of Christ Church Kirkland’s Marketing and Communications Director.
Oh wait, what did you say? That’s not normal? I own a bike? Huh? I’ve never even been on a bike before (unless you count one that has two skinny wheels and causes your thighs to go raw).
Well, I guess I did have an abnormal day because today I became the official owner of a 2008 Dyna Super Glide Custom. Why did I buy a bike? You could say I gave into peer pressure. Just ask my dad what that means!
Here’s some info about the bike from the guys at Eastside Harley. If you’re in the market for a bike, head over there and talk to Robert. Tell him Kyle sent you and you’ll get a great deal!
ANNIVERSARY DYNA CUSTOM!!! 105 YEARS OF HARLEY BABY!!!!
Super Glide®. Lean. Raw. Brute strength galvanized for eternity. And it’s all anchored by a silver and chrome Twin Cam 96™ engine, rubber-mounted in the frame for a smooth ride. Sitting right above it is a Fat Bob® tank topped off by a big nostalgic speedometer, with the famed #1 logo on a leather strap. Then comes the two-up ribbed seat. Out front, a bullet headlamp riding on a massive 49-millimeter fork. Take a look at the way the paint, raw metal and glittering chrome work together. It’s enough to make asphalt black with envy.
