Haven’t Met You Yet

Last week two of my friends got married and like at most weddings, I had a lot of people ask me when it will be my turn or consoling me that the next wedding will be mine. While I smile at them and know they mean well, I often just shrug my shoulders and tell them, “Thanks, I just haven’t met her yet.”
Hearing questions like that though don’t discourage me or make me want to rush into anything. I love being single and I love this season of life I am in right now. The ability to focus on my career and give my time to things like teaching at my old high school probably wouldn’t be happening as much if I was in a relationship. And more importantly, I love this season because God truly has become enough for me; not just enough for right now, but enough to where I am not looking at every girl and wondering if she’s the one because He satisfies that need. When the time is right, she’ll come into my life.
Fear not though, one day that wedding will be mine! I just haven’t met her yet.
My favorite line from that song:
I Might Have To Wait
I’ll Never Give Up
I Guess It’s Half Time
And The Other Half’s Luck
Wherever You Are
Whenever It’s Right
You Come Out Of Nowhere And Into My Life
